May 18th brought the Leos to the K-Oaks clubhouse for the 2008/2009 Leo Club Awards Night. In attendance were Lago Vista Leos, family members, Lago Vista Lions, and other guests. Master of Ceremonies for this event was Lion John Spoerlein.
Lions Club President Kurt Tessnow called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance.
Special Lions International, Club Officer, and Graduating Seniors awards were presented to very deserving Lago Vista Leos.
Lago Vista/Pt Venture Lions Clubs annual scholarships were presented to Brittney Moseley, Rachel Duran, Scott Slaughter, Laura Febbo, Cortney Bramlett, and Allison Wallace, Five of six recipients were Lago Vista Leos.
Lions District 2S3 Leo Chairperson Lion Shirley Dillman inducted 20 new Leos into the club.
Lions Club President Kurt Tessnow officiated over the installation of the 2009/2010 club officers.
